Where the project began
Finance interest is not always software demand
Finance searches attract students, consumers, practitioners and software buyers. Mosaic needed a strategy suited to strategic-finance SaaS, not a general finance publication.
Forecasting and reporting are topics finance professionals research even when they have no intention of buying new software. Mosaic therefore needed more than relevance to financial terminology. The site had to distinguish a person seeking an explanation from someone evaluating a product for their team.
Its developing product and internal marketing function made prioritisation important. The website needed to serve education without losing sight of teams evaluating a tool.
What the team worked on
Building around the finance team’s decision
From February to June 2021, Pearl Lemon combined technical assessment with search research and content targeting around forecasting, dashboards and reporting. The underlying choice was to connect finance education with software-buying questions without assuming those audiences were identical.
Pearl Lemon’s account describes technical assessment, keyword research, content targeting and authority work between February and June 2021. Topics included forecasting, dashboards and reporting.
What the record shows
Visibility progress with product-fit demand still to measure
The published account reports improved search visibility and third-party authority indicators, but not verified demos or revenue attribution. It shows the groundwork required for fintech discovery; the missing measure is how frequently relevant finance teams moved from that research into product evaluation.
For a similar SaaS business, the next useful measure is product-fit interest: are relevant finance teams finding the product pages and asking for a suitable conversation? That should sit alongside, not be replaced by, SEO visibility.

Where I would start on your website
Reach finance decision-makers researching planning, forecasting and reporting tools.
- 1Separate the searches of a finance director comparing FP&A platforms from students or consumers seeking generic financial advice.
- 2Map finance planning, budgeting, scenario modelling and reporting intentions to product pages with accurate use cases and capabilities.
- 3Prioritise site hygiene, internal linking and content that answers implementation, pricing and comparison objections without publishing unverified product claims.
How to measure commercial progress
Segment Search Console by commercial FP&A query intent and connect organic demos to qualified finance-team opportunities and activation.

Did the historical gains produce product-fit demos, or mainly an improved SEO visibility score?

How to read the results
Keyword and authority gains can be encouraging but are not evidence of qualified demo bookings or SaaS subscription revenue on their own.
What better measurement could reveal
Dated product-led Search Console cohorts, demo-to-opportunity funnel totals, product analytics and a signed-off client results export would make this case commercially testable.
About the evidence and attribution
This account draws on a historically published Pearl Lemon Group case study. Performance figures are reported by their original source and may use third-party ranking or traffic estimates. They are not presented as an independent financial audit. Work was delivered across the Pearl Lemon team and should not be interpreted as solely personally executed by Deepak.
