Morning, guys. The time is 7:36, and it's the 2 November. So today, I wanted to talk about ultimately building evergreen lead generation campaigns, how to build them, and how easy it is to generate leads. Ultimately, if you're an agency business like Pearl Lemon, I guess it can apply to as long as you've got a potential broad customer base, then I think it could apply to any company, to be honest with you. So let me just kind of get into it.To be honest with you, it doesn't matter what you do, because I'll talk about how we're doing it for the podcast as well. So if it’s your first time listening to my podcast, we run a marketing agency, but we also do other stuff like accounting and recruitment. And those are service lines that can apply to thousands of businesses depending upon what your initial specialism is. So let's just think about the example of my podcast. So this podcast right now that I'm recording one of the ways that we're promoting it is that I have had the team using a combination of LinkedIn Sales Navigator plus tools such as Find That Lead. There are dozens. I don't know if there are dozens, but there are certainly over probably ten different tools that you could use to scrape emails from LinkedIn. So imagine now that you can scrape emails from LinkedIn that you can find, for example, the contact data of founders. Let's just say founders across the world because I'm trying to market and target founders who might be interested in listening to my podcast, who might become clients of the business, who might have nothing to do with our business but might be interested in just listening to the podcast.
Build a Contact Database
You can build a contact database of probably ten to 15,000 people.Let's just say, for example, 5000, if you're sending out 50 emails a day, then over ten days at 500 and over 100 days at 5000. So that means you can run a 100-day campaign with 5000 emails to market and grow your podcast. By the time that data is exhausted, you could potentially recycle some of that contact data in the instance that maybe your email copy didn't land, and you could kind of repeat the same process again if that makes sense. So imagine now taking the principle that I've just described and doing it for ultimately anything.
Applying to Reality
So let's take the example of the Pear Lemon Accountants. So Pearl Lemon, by our history and nature, is a marketing agency, but we're in the process of setting up an accounting firm. So what we're doing is that we're going to approach marketing agencies, branding, content, digital agencies and say, hey, we understand your challenges because we're a marketing agency ourselves. But one of our missions is to help marketing agencies get better accounting services and service levels. And we will also do, for example, personal and corporate tax. So that means we'll target both individuals as well as businesses. Now imagine sending out an email then to all agency owners as well as freelancers across the UK. So again, using LinkedIn, we build our contact database. Apparently, 30,000 people got together - I'll talk to Amen and see - But again, you can send out those emails. And if we're talking 30,000, that's six times the 5000. So we're looking at 600 days, which would be basically almost two years worth of emails to send out. Now, there's lots of things you can do in between that. But I hope that you see where I'm going with this, because fundamentally, if you take some of these applications or take some of these approaches, you can ultimately build email, campaign copy, and send out emails to anyone anywhere. Now the third final one.
Pearl Lemon Group
I mean, there's more, but l we're calling it the Pearl lemon Group Forever Campaign. So what that is is that we, as part of our business, do lead generation. So we always get a surplus of data. Ultimately, when, for example, a campaign requires us to do some email data mining, and then that data is not needed anymore, or that data is unusable because maybe we targeted the wrong technology or the company that we're working with, updated the data points or they suddenly had to stop or all of the things that relate to ultimately this being built and then lists not being used in totality. So we always get a level of surplus data. Now we combine that with a PLG Forever campaign, which is basically, as I've written, a funny cookie five-step email campaign that tries to build a relationship over those five emails with a means of you introducing Pearl Lemon to the ultimate company. So again, we've got reusable data that will just plug into this campaign. And off we go. So I've just outlined what the podcast accounting. And I've outlined the PLG Forever campaign. So that's three different campaigns, if we're sending out, as an example, 50 emails per day. And these are three of probably about seven or eight email campaigns that we do. So that's 150 emails a day that are going out across those three campaigns. And let's assume you get it up to 200 emails a day. Then you're looking at ultimately building a really decent volume of leads you should be anyway, if these emails are effective and when they're not effective, then you got to go back and workshops the challenges, identify what the potential issues might be, and adjust.
Final Thoughts
Maybe it's a domain. Maybe one of the email, one of the emails are getting poor opens. Maybe you need to adjust the titles. Of course, there's all of these second level, second layer variations that need to come in to ensure that you're getting the proper return. But I mean, fundamentally, this is how at Paul Lemon, we're now really in the midst of scaling our lead generation and how you can build evergreen email campaigns for basically, I think any business you just got to find the angle and then have a relevant contact database.Assuming that you've got potentially if your customer could be anybody or if your customer could be a lot of companies, then fantastic, if your company is all serviceized, of course, and specific, then it becomes a bit more challenging. But I'm pretty sure there's always a way depending upon what you're trying to promote in the instance of the podcast, for example, what I've just described, I hope I would be useful to any business owner anywhere. So there you go, guys. That's my update for today. Happy Tuesday catch you tomorrow.Bye.
