If you think being smart is going to get you anywhere. You’re probably young enough still to have ‘smart’ being a currency that has some value attached to it.
So let me tell you this. In 2/5/10 years from now no-one will care whether you went to Yale, Oxford, U of Geneva or wherever it may be.
The smartest guy in the room never wins. The hardest working one stands a damn sight more chance of being able to hold that title
Remember the story of Theodor Giesel?
I bet you don’t. He wanted to become a successful novelist. He failed on his first 27 attempts. 27!!!
With your attitude you won’t even get to writing 1 book
His 28th book was Dr Seuss. And after that; a failure he was no more. And that’s my advice
Talent does NOT BREED persistence. Hard work does. And persistence is a universal trait of the successful my friend.
